StereoPix Privacy Policy

Effective July 11, 2026

StereoPix is a stereoscopic photography app made by Curious Media. This policy describes what the app does with your data. The short version: your photos stay on your device unless you choose to share them, we run no analytics or tracking, and shared pairs are automatically deleted from our servers after 7 days.

Photos you capture

Photos taken in StereoPix are stored locally on your device, inside the app's own storage. They are not uploaded anywhere unless you explicitly use a sharing feature. Deleting a pair in the app permanently removes it from your device.

Sharing by link

When you choose "StereoPix Pair" in the share menu, the app uploads the selected image pair (and a small preview image for the link card) to our storage, hosted on Google Firebase in the United States. About shared pairs:

Sharing files, images, and videos

Sharing a .stereopix file, a stereo image, or a wigglegram uses the iOS share sheet directly from your device (Messages, AirDrop, Mail, etc.). These shares go peer-to-peer or through whatever service you pick — they do not pass through our servers. Exports you save to your photo library stay in your photo library.

Anonymous identity

To authorize uploads and downloads, the app signs in to Firebase anonymously. This creates a random identifier that is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any account, and we don't combine it with any other data. There are no user accounts in StereoPix.

Purchases

The optional watermark-removal purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. The purchase state is stored on your device and restorable through Apple.

Device permissions

What we don't do

Data retention & deletion

Local photos: yours, on your device, until you delete them in the app or remove the app. Server copies of shared pairs: deleted automatically after 7 days. If you need a shared pair removed sooner, contact us with the share link and we'll delete it.

Children

StereoPix is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
